Political Sacrifice (2025)

This provocative series of images challenges the boundaries between power, politics, and symbolism. By depicting world leaders such as Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Xi Jinping holding a dead goat, the artwork explores the darker side of leadership and the sacrifices made in the name of power. The image of the goat, often seen as a symbol of innocence or a scapegoat, contrasts starkly with the weight of leadership, making the viewer question what these leaders might have 'sacrificed' to get where they are.

Through a surreal yet symbolic lens, these "leaders" stand frozen, seemingly proud of their catch—an unsettling juxtaposition of power and fragility. The use of the goat, its death, and the interaction with the politicians blur the lines between realism and allegory, urging the viewer to ponder the consequences of ambition, governance, and the very notion of what it means to 'hold power.'

The addition of bright, nationalistic color schemes behind each figure speaks to the political ideologies they represent, further accentuating the tension between the human and the animal, the ruler and the ruled.
