The Trauma Treatment Program
The trauma treatment programs at Two Rivers Hospital provide specialized focus and care for the survivors of post-traumatic stress, trauma (childhood or adult onset), neglect and abuse. Intensive psychotherapy is used for stabilization of depression, dissociative disorders, anxiety and addictions, as well as to identify and provide resolution for the cycles of self destructive behaviors, dissociation and difficulties with relationships and intimacy. The program also facilitates the resolution of long term developmental deficits and blocks manifested as personality disorders.
Patients receive a whole day of treatment services within the structure of a safe and trusting therapeutic community. Out goal is to provide a respectful, safe and empowering environment in which survivors can pursue the work of healing.
The Philosophy
We are dedicated to providing a safe, non-revictimizing, healthy environment to allow individuals to heal from developmental wounds. Each individual is treated with respect and compassion in an intensive, state-of-the-art format that effectively combines psychotherapy and pharmacology within a therapeutic community.
